These birds are recently imported from Germany. Both roosters and hens are calm and docile. This is a true dual purpose breed. The hens lay 250 - 280 brown eggs per year. The males reach 10-12 lbs in 22 weeks and the females are also large at 8-10lbs each. This breed is also auto-sexing. The female chicks have chipmunk marking at hatching and the males are lighter brown with a white spot on the head.
